About the Artist

I live with my husband in beautiful upstate New York in a log cabin we designed and built ourselves. We love the hills, wildlife and starry skies that surround us. It's a great place to live and to create. The Adirondack Mountains to the north and the Catskill Mountains to the south also speak to my soul and provide great inspiration.

Formerly an art teacher, I am fairly new to gourd art. I "discovered" the idea in 2007 when I came upon a book by Ginger Summit and Jim Widess. I immediately began designing and creating my own gourds, and taking my work to craft shows. My gourds can also be found at the Catskill Mountain Artisan's Guild in Margaretville, NY and at the Broad Street Gallery in Hamilton, NY.

My goal is to continue to develop new designs and techniques, and to share my work online and through select galleries and shops. I welcome comments, inquiries and custom orders.
